It was an absolute delight for me to turn into poetic expression some of the dating adventures and misadventures I had experienced after becoming single again, but this time as a mother of three youngsters. Most importantly, these 6+ years of single motherhood dating and of writing were fruitful years of learning. They paved the way for me to find a higher level of self-awareness and self-love, which eventually brought into my life the man of my dreams.

"Of Love & Lust: A Caribbean Woman's Magic" consists of titles such as: "If I were a nightingale", "Caribbean Voodoo", "Making Love to my Black Man", "Rap Sheets", "Fire Within", "I think this girl thought I was hittin' on her", "Scars, Flaws, and All!", "African Chocolate", "My Beautiful Body", "Because I was not afraid to love", "I don't want to run", etc. This anthology of poems also contain pieces in French ("A fleur de peau") and in Haitian Creole ("Laviwondede").

In this poetry book, I aim to entertain my reader but also to encourage self-love in women and men going through the ups and downs of dating life post divorce and/or abuse.
