Relaxation Through Verse Poetry Salon
Elegant * Uplifting * Relaxing
We partner with non-profits to hold fundraisers around each RTV Poetry Salon event for which proceeds are donated primarily to Domestic Violence Shelters in the Caribbean and in Africa.
For this first edition of RTV Poetry Salon in 2019, we're raising money for Haiti Now. This reputable non-profit was chosen because of their mission to "see girls in domestic servitude overcome extreme poverty, heal emotional trauma, and live rewarding lives."
In Haiti, a quarter of a million children—compelled by extreme poverty, social isolation, and lack of access to food and education—live in a state of domestic servitude. Please DONATE HERE and make a difference!
ABOUT EVENT:
This event's theme is "The Beauty that is my Body", based on Michaëlle Martial's (Caribbean Nightingale) poem of the same title found in her book OF LOVE & LUST: A CARIBBEAN WOMAN'S MAGIC!
